The event’s reputation plays a crucial role in attracting hundreds of the largest and most famous companies and brands in the world of designing and manufacturing watches, jewellery and gold work from 21 countries.

The event’s new edition, which runs until 12th March, boasts new international participation from South Korea, Russia and Switzerland for the first time in the exhibition’s history, in addition to leading players and renowned brands from Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and Yemen, as well as dozens of Emirati companies.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, SCCI’s Chairman and ECS’s Chairman, said, “The continuous successes of WJME Show in its previous editions – especially the 50th edition – truly reflects the great efforts that have been made by SCCI and ECS to reinforce the leading regional and global position of the Emirate of Sharjah in organising local and regional exhibitions specialised in gold and jewellery, and to keep pace with the record growth of this sector in the UAE, which topped the Middle East countries in the volume of gold sales in the last year.”

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of ECS, highlighted the WJME Show’s success in attracting new countries, which are joining in with a huge number of exhibitors from all over the world, indicating that the said success clearly shows the global eminence of the event and how famous it is to major manufacturers and producers of gold and jewellery as it gives them a can’t-miss chance to promote their products to large numbers of visitors, grow their business in the region’s markets, strike deals and build partnerships.

Al Midfa stressed that ECS welcomes visitors and new exhibitors from all over the world, and affirms its endeavour to provide the best platform that meets the aspirations of visitors who are looking for everything new in the world of jewellery, watches, diamond and precious stones works, enabling international manufacturers, traders and brands to make successes and enhance their presence in the UAE markets and those of the region.

The exhibition opens to visitors from 13:00 to 22:00 on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and from 15:00 to 22:00pm on Friday.

Its sideline activities include many programmes, workshops and specialised activities related to the gold and jewellery industry, giving participants the opportunity to learn about the best international practices and gain new practical experiences, and increase their chances to be leaders in the industry.
