Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced road closures as heavy rain caused waterlogging in several parts.

Taking to their official Twitter handle, the authority said Garn Al Sabkha tunnel will remain closed in both directions, with traffic diverted to the intersection of the traffic lights above the tunnel (First Al Khail street with Garn Al Sabkha).

They have advised drivers to take Sheikh Zayed Road, First Al Khail Street and Al Yalayis street, instead.

The RTA also closed the intersection of Al Asayel Street with Latifa Bint Hamdan Street in both directions, with drivers advised to take First Al Khail Street, Latifa bint Hamdan Street and Umm Suqeim Street, instead.

The authority added that their teams are working towards clearing the roads.
