Global Village Extends Its 30th Season Amidst Eid Celebrations

In an anticipated move that reflects its commitment to delivering memorable experiences, Global Village has announced the extension of its 30th season until the end of May. This decision is particularly poignant, as it coincides with the grand Eid Al Adha holiday period, a time celebrated by families and communities across the United Arab Emirates and beyond.

During the remaining weeks of this milestone season, guests visiting Global Village can take advantage of various end-of-season shopping offers, explore a diverse array of culinary experiences, and engage in a rich tapestry of live performances. With over 250 dining options representing cuisines from around the world, the attraction augments its appeal as a culinary haven while offering vibrant entertainment at both the Main Stage and Kids’ Theatre.

To accommodate the influx of visitors, Global Village has expanded its operating hours. On Fridays and Saturdays, the beloved attraction will welcome guests from 5:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m., whereas on Sundays to Thursdays, it will be open until midnight. This extended schedule ensures that both residents and tourists alike have ample opportunity to engage in the myriad activities and cultural offerings available.

Throughout its highly successful 30th season, Global Village has celebrated a melting pot of cultures, bringing together more than 90 nationalities. Guests have explored a staggering 3,500 retail outlets, alongside over 250 dining options that transcend geographical boundaries. The entertainment program has been robust, showcasing approximately 450 performers and facilitating over 40,500 live shows. In addition, attendees have enjoyed a plethora of rides, games, and attractions at the Carnaval section of the venue, further enriching their experience.

Fernando Eiroa, the Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Entertainment, articulated the significance of the season in a recent statement. He remarked, “This year marks a significant milestone for the destination. Concluding the season during Eid Al Adha, a time that brings communities together, allows us to celebrate alongside the families, residents, and visitors who have made this chapter so memorable.” His words resonate particularly in a region where community and familial bonds are celebrated, particularly during festive occasions.

Looking ahead, Global Village is already making preparations for its 31st season, hinting at new concepts and initiatives designed to celebrate cultural diversity and foster community connections on a global scale. The focus on integrating cultural appreciation with entertainment reflects the venue’s sustained commitment to enhancing the visitor experience.

The extension of the 30th season not only serves as a strategic decision for Global Village, allowing it to maximize visitor engagement during a peak holiday season, but also underscores its role as a cultural melting pot. As the world continues to face challenges stemming from social and economic disruptions, such spaces become critical in facilitating cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.

As visitors flock to Global Village during this extended season, they may also find themselves a part of a larger narrative—one that speaks to resilience, the celebration of diversity, and the power of community. Amidst the glimmering lights and joyous performances, the essence of Global Village as a gathering place for different cultures shines through, creating lasting memories that resonate well beyond the confines of its seasonal operations.

With this exciting extension and the promise of invaluable new offerings in the upcoming season, Global Village stands poised not only as a hallmark of entertainment and culture in Dubai but also as a destination that reflects the spirit of unity amid diversity—a feature that is increasingly vital in our interconnected world.
