SHARJAH, 22nd January, 2023 (WAM) — Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Districts and Villages Affairs Department, has discussed with the heads of the suburb councils in Sharjah ways to strengthen partnerships of the councils with all parties.
During a meeting held with the heads of several suburb councils, Sheikh Majid praised the role of the suburban councils and the programmes and initiatives they have implemented since their establishment, in addition to the efforts of their members.
He pointed out the importance of these councils and the entity’s integrating and coordinating with all departments to enhance social cohesion.
The most prominent programmes of the councils that will be held in 2023 were reviewed.
The meeting discussed, among the attendees, several ideas, development proposals, and projects that support the goals of the department and councils.
