Air Cargo Malawi has entered into a partnership with the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to utilize MDF aircraft for cargo transportation in the SADC region. This collaboration is set to enhance Air Cargo Malawi’s operations, enabling the company to increase its capacity for transporting cargo more efficiently and effectively.

Under the agreement, Air Cargo Malawi will be able to transport specialized cargo consignments between Malawi, SADC, COMESA, and East Africa, offering seamless logistics solutions for exporters and importers. This strategic move reflects ACM’s progress in its turnaround strategy, as evidenced by the successful delivery of medicinal cannabis to Europe through its partnership with Emirates.

Felix Tandwe, the Chairman of Air Cargo Malawi, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, affirming the company’s dedication to delivering reliable and efficient air cargo services. MDF Commander Valentino Phiri also expressed contentment with the collaboration, emphasizing their commitment to supporting the country’s economic growth and development.

The partnership between Air Cargo Malawi and the Malawi Defence Force signifies a significant step towards enhancing cargo transportation services in the region, further boosting economic activities and strengthening logistics networks for businesses across multiple sectors.
