ADQ Community Carnival 2025: A Celebration of Unity and Socioeconomic Development in Abu Dhabi

As the United Arab Emirates strides confidently towards the future, the commitment to community cohesion and socioeconomic development takes center stage. In a fervent response to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s declaration of 2025 as the Year of Community, the Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company (ADQ) is set to unveil the second edition of its highly anticipated Community Carnival. Scheduled to occur from February 14 to February 23, 2025, in the vibrant setting of Khalifa Park, this event promises to fortify the bonds within the Emirati community while celebrating the spirit of inclusivity and engagement.

The ADQ Community Carnival is more than just an event; it is an embodiment of the country’s dedication to fostering social unity and advancing public outreach. By embracing themes of collaboration under the banner “Hand in Hand,” the carnival highlights the leadership’s vision of a cohesive society where people from diverse backgrounds can come together, interact, and contribute to a common goal.

Anas Jawdat Albarguthi, the Group Chief Operating Officer at ADQ, articulated the significance of this initiative, stating: “The ADQ Community Carnival aligns with the declaration of 2025 as the Year of the Community. This initiative reflects the commitment of the country’s leadership towards fostering unity, stability, and social cohesion for the collective good. It also serves as a platform to raise awareness about ADQ and its diverse portfolio while providing a creative and meaningful space for interaction. We invite everyone to join us and enjoy a wide range of activities for all ages.”

The upcoming carnival will feature a host of interactive experiences designed to cater to residents of all ages, making it a comprehensive community event. Among the highlights will be dedicated experience zones, including “The Hub,” showcasing 18 of ADQ’s portfolio companies. These companies will spotlight their efforts in addressing community needs and contributing to the UAE’s economic landscape, ensuring that attendees leave not only entertained but also informed about the various local enterprises that play a pivotal role in the region’s growth.

One of the most engaging components of the carnival is “The Playing Field,” which will present an NBA fan zone alongside various sports games and activities designed to inspire a love for athletics. This zone promises to ignite enthusiasm among sports fans while promoting a healthy lifestyle through active participation. Additionally, “The Food Boulevard” will gather an assortment of food trucks, offering a global culinary journey with diverse cuisines that reflect the multicultural tapestry of the UAE.

The carnival will operate daily from 4 PM to 10 PM, with extended hours until 11 PM during weekends, ensuring ample opportunity for both families and individuals to enjoy this unique gathering. Notably, children under the age of 12 will have free access to all the activities, underlining the carnival’s commitment to family-friendly fun and engagement.

The initiative is further reinforced by the participation of numerous influential companies, each dedicated to making a positive impact in various sectors. Key participants include reputable organizations such as Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), Etihad Airways, Etihad Rail, EMSTEEL, and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), among others. Each of these companies will not only present their offerings but will also demonstrate how they contribute to the collective well-being of the Emirati community and the broader economy.

In light of ongoing global complexities, the ADQ Community Carnival stands as a beacon of hope and resilience, reminding citizens and residents alike of the strength found in unity and collaboration. As an initiative that embodies the UAE’s vision for a connected and thriving society, it is indeed an occasion not to be missed.

With the carnival set to become a cornerstone of community life in Abu Dhabi, it promises to leave a lasting impact on attendees, celebrating the vibrant cultural fabric of the emirate and paving the way for future endeavors that aim to strengthen community ties.
