The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has achieved an impressive milestone, welcoming its 250,000th visitor just over two weeks following its grand opening. This noteworthy occasion highlights both the pavilion’s appeal and the growing cultural exchanges and dialogues between the United Arab Emirates and Japan. The honored guest, celebrated for her visit alongside her family, received a commemorative certificate, a selection of carefully curated gifts from the pavilion’s gift shop, and the luxury of complimentary dining at the Emirati restaurant located within the pavilion.
The announcement was made by Shihab Al Faheem, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE Embassy to Japan, who also serves as the Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion at the Expo. Al Faheem expressed pride in reaching this significant visitor count, emphasizing that it serves as a testament to the pavilion’s intent as a vital platform for fostering dialogue, discovery, and collaboration between nations. “This milestone reflects the pavilion’s role as a platform for dialogue, discovery, and collaboration. This landmark moment follows a visit from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed toured the pavilion’s multisensory exhibition, which aims to showcase the rich cultural tapestry and innovative spirit of the UAE. His presence highlighted the pavilion’s significance in symbolizing not just the UAE’s achievements but also its commitment to global collaboration and cultural outreach.

Visitors are greeted by a striking architectural structure inspired by the UAE’s iconic date palm tree. The design is a modern interpretation of traditional areesh architecture, characterized by 90 soaring rachis columns, all crafted using sustainable methods and enhanced by the skill of Japanese woodworking.
