The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently showcased its ambitious vision for its national pavilion at Expo 2025, which is set to take place in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to October 13, 2025. This significant announcement was made during a media briefing organized by the National Media Office, highlighting the nation’s ongoing commitment to global dialogue and collaboration.
Under the overarching theme of “Earth to Ether,” the UAE Pavilion embodies the country’s transformation from its rich cultural heritage to a future characterized by innovation, creativity, and exploration. Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, the Minister of State and Commissioner of Expo Office – UAE, emphasized the UAE’s enduring commitment to meaningful dialogue and collective progress throughout its participation in World Expos. “The UAE Expo Office perceives each Expo as more than just a temporal event; it is a vibrant platform for showcasing our core values globally, strengthening partnerships, promoting sustainability, and fostering cross-cultural understanding,” she stated.
In an unusually poignant moment, Al Kaabi remarked that the UAE’s return to Japan—55 years after its inaugural participation in the Expo 1970 in Osaka—signifies not only a celebration of its history but also a commitment to nurturing a more connected and inclusive global future. The minister also highlighted that the youth will take center stage at the UAE’s participation in Expo 2025. A contingent of 24 young Emirati ambassadors will be joined by 20 Japanese youth proficient in multiple languages, fostering intercultural exchange and effective communication of the UAE’s narratives. Al Kaabi expressed her excitement about sharing the inspiring journeys of the country’s young innovators, who are making significant strides across various fields.
