ABU DHABI, 10th February, 2023 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi School of Government (ADSG) launched the General Professional Programmes, which consist of 16 programmes that adopt a self-paced learning methodology.

The launch comes as part of ADSG’s unwavering efforts to enhance sustainable digital learning in line with Abu Dhabi’s human capital development strategy.

The launch of the programmes came as part of the “ADSG Connect” event, held under the slogan “Connection Promotes Integration”, which is set to be held periodically by the ADSG to take participants through the latest updates and the newest learning and development programmes offered by the Abu Dhabi School of Government.

The event aligns with the ADSG’s efforts to promote communication among human resource professionals and will provide an opportunity for participants to share their inquiries with the team for response.

The event provided a unique and enjoyable experience for attendees, which included an introductory session on the General Professional Programmes that was held in a cinema hall to showcase the educationally scripted performance segments presented in the Emirati dialect. These are among the most important learning tools offered by these programmes.

The programmes seek to elevate expertise and knowledge across eight fields, which include work agility, capacity building, driving efficiency, data harnessing, engaging others, focused delivery, service excellence, and digital dexterity. The programmes are divided into 8 specialised tracks targeting Abu Dhabi government employees in the third and fourth job grades and 8 administrative tracks targeting employees in the fifth to seventh job grades.

The programmes seek to enable participants to develop and enhance their skills in line with the needs and vision of the Abu Dhabi government. This is achieved by providing participants with a practical educational experience that enables them to stand out in their careers and motivates them to become role models in their respected entities by implementing the knowledge gained from the training programmes.

The programmes will offer a unique learning experience that guides participants through a series of educational modules to develop their competencies via scripted performance segments in the Emirati dialect, podcasts, 2D infographics, tests, and interactive games.

Expert curricula designers, 2D infographics designers, and specialists in educational media production designed the programmes. Each programme provides an exceptional educational journey with unique and independent qualities that enrich the learner’s experience. The educationally scripted performance segments presented in Arabic in the Emirati dialect is one of the principal learning tools in these programmes, as they provide a fun and captivating learning tool that provides effective results.

Dr. Yasir Ahmed Al Naqbi, ADSG Director-General, said, “At the ADSG, we are committed to enhancing the learning experience and supporting the lifelong learning development of Abu Dhabi government employees. Through the launch of the General Professional Programmes, which adopt a self-paced learning methodology, we seek to enable Abu Dhabi government employees to access high-level educational programmes that boost their capabilities and hone their skills so that they can achieve career success and contribute to government excellence in the Emirate.”

All programmes will be provided through the ADSG’s Learning Hub platform, where the performance and interaction of participants will be evaluated according to outlined learning goals and objectives.
