Fifth Silkway Accelerator Launched, Inviting Uzbek Startups to Join Astana Hub & Google for Startups

Astana Hub, an international technology park, has announced the launch of the fifth stream of the Silkway Accelerator program in collaboration with Google for Startups, offering a promising opportunity for Uzbek startups to take part in this innovative startup support initiative.

The Silkway Accelerator program, now in its fifth iteration, is calling for IT projects at the PMF and Scale stages from Central Asia, including countries like Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Mongolia. The main objective of the program is to foster and accelerate the growth of startups in the region.

Uzbek startups are encouraged to apply for participation in the program, with applications being accepted until May 24. Since its establishment in 2022, the accelerator has received over 1,000 applications and seen 49 projects successfully graduate.

These startups have collectively achieved a capitalization exceeding 0 million and have garnered over million in investments, while also making strides in international markets such as the UAE, Turkey, and the USA.

Previous beneficiaries of the Silkway Accelerator program include Uzbek startups like Avlo.shop, BILLZ, TASS VISION, and Dalatek, all of which have experienced significant growth and expansion as a result of their participation.

Yerbol Akhmetov, Director of the Astana Hub Business Programs Office, highlighted the potential for Uzbek startups to make a significant impact on the innovative development of the region. He underlined the growth and networking opportunities that the Silkway Accelerator can offer to these startups.

The Silkway Accelerator provides a comprehensive three-month offline course aimed at facilitating rapid business transformation, strategy development, and profit scaling for participants. Key components of the program include meetings with investors, connections with venture funds and business angels, as well as access to additional resources and expertise.

Overall, the partnership between Astana Hub and Google for Startups in launching the fifth stream of the Silkway Accelerator program presents a valuable opportunity for Uzbek startups to thrive and succeed in the competitive startup landscape.
