ABU DHABI, 11th February, 2023 (WAM) — The UAE’s humanitarian and relief efforts on the international stage demonstrate its commitment to providing aid and assistance to other nations in times of emergency, embodying the highest values of humanity.
Since its establishment by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE has been dedicated to offering humanitarian support to those in need, responding quickly to disaster and crisis situations.
For over 50 years, the UAE has focused on assisting disadvantaged groups, including refugees, the displaced, and those affected by crises, making it one of the largest donors in the world when compared to its national income. The aid provided is given without regard to religion, race, colour, or culture, and reflects the country’s commitment to humanitarian values.
The directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have prioritised the provision of aid and relief to those affected by the recent earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye. This reflects the UAE’s values of giving and benevolence, and its leadership’s commitment to helping others in times of crisis.
The UAE’s joint efforts by entities, institutions, and individuals in response to the earthquake in Syria and Türkiye demonstrate the country’s community spirit of helping others, in line with the directives of its leadership.
The search and rescue teams, in operation “Gallant Knight/2” are working in difficult conditions to rescue those trapped and provide medical support, exemplifying the UAE’s values of tolerance, peace, and human solidarity.
