Dubai Airports Prepares for Pilgrim Traffic Amid Hajj 2025
As the holy pilgrimage of Hajj approaches, Dubai Airports has unveiled an extensive operational strategy at Dubai International Airport (DXB) to facilitate the travel of over 3,100 pilgrims embarking on their spiritual journey in 2025. This initiative comes in response to the intricate demands of one of the busiest travel seasons, which notably coincides with the holy occasion of Eid Al Adha, as well as the summer peak travel period.
In a collaborative effort with various governmental and airline entities, Dubai Airports has structured an operational framework aimed at streamlining the travel experience for these pilgrims. Over the course of this sacred rite, pilgrims will be transported across 28 dedicated flights operated by major carriers including Emirates, flydubai, Saudia, and flynas. Notably, a high-profile delegation from the Dubai Government will also commence their journey from Terminal 3 on June 1, marking the commencement of this year’s pilgrimage operations.
The oneDXB community, which incorporates various stakeholders such as Dubai Police, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Customs, dnata, and other relevant bodies, has implemented several key measures to enhance efficiency and comfort during this high-traffic period. Key initiatives include the establishment of dedicated check-in counters strategically located throughout Terminals 1, 2, and 3, aimed at expediting the check-in process.
