Eurowings Expands Winter Services to the Middle East: A Strategic Move to Enhance Connectivity

In an ambitious expansion of its winter network for the 2025/26 season, Eurowings, Germany’s foremost leisure airline, has announced a series of new and enhanced flight services connecting key German cities to prominent destinations in the Middle East. The new timetable, which comes into effect in December 2025, reflects a strategic initiative to meet growing demand for travel to the region.

The centerpiece of this expansion is the introduction of thrice-weekly non-stop flights from Düsseldorf to Dubai World Central (DWC), commencing on December 13, 2025. These flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays utilizing the fuel-efficient Airbus A320neo aircraft. This service marks a significant milestone, as it elevates Eurowings’ total weekly flights to Dubai to an impressive 28, servicing five major airports in Germany including Berlin, Cologne/Bonn, Stuttgart, and Hanover. This substantial increase in connectivity is designed to cater not only to vacationers but also to business travelers seeking direct routes to one of the world’s most vibrant economic hubs.

In addition to the new Düsseldorf-Dubai service, Eurowings is set to offer twice-weekly flights from Stuttgart to Amman, starting on October 27, 2025. With departures scheduled for early mornings on Mondays and Thursdays, travelers will find accessible options to explore Jordan’s rich historical heritage and contemporary attractions. Notably, fares for these flights begin as low as €99.99 one-way, making it an appealing choice for budget-conscious travelers.

The airline is also expanding its presence in the region by introducing weekly services to Erbil, the capital of Iraq, with flights launching from Nuremberg on November 4 and from Cologne/Bonn shortly thereafter. Concurrently, travelers will gain direct access to Beirut through new non-stop routes departing from Hanover, Salzburg, and Prague, beginning between late October and early November.

The enhancements to Eurowings’ winter timetable don’t stop there; the airline is also augmenting its existing services between German hubs and the Middle East. Berlin will enjoy an increased frequency of flights to Abu Dhabi, while Dubai connections will be intensified across several hubs. The airline’s commitment to this route is underscored by the integration of additional thrice-weekly flights from Cologne to Jeddah and more rotations from Hanover, Stuttgart, and Düsseldorf to Dubai. This consolidates Eurowings’ profile as a preferred carrier for travelers looking for affordable and convenient access to Middle Eastern destinations.

Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings, emphasized the significance of these routes as the airline’s most popular offerings during the winter season. He remarked, “Our Gulf routes are seen as the most successful in our winter program, and we are dedicated to providing our passengers with convenient daytime departures and competitive pricing.”

The expansion also includes innovative new initiatives aimed at meeting the increased interest from German travelers in leisure destinations. Alongside the new routes to the Middle East, Eurowings will commence weekly flights between Berlin and Kittilä Airport in Finnish Lapland from January 31 until March 21, 2026. This not only meets the rising demand for winter sports travel but also offers an opportunity for German tourists to explore the enchanting arctic landscapes and cultural experiences that the region has to offer.

In conclusion, Eurowings’ strategic expansion into the Middle East and its creative approach to improving connectivity illustrate a heightened focus on accommodating the travel needs of both leisure and business clientele. By significantly increasing its flight offerings amidst an evolving global travel landscape, the airline positions itself not only as an accessible link between Germany and the Middle East but also as a responsive player in the competitive aviation market.

As more travelers seek direct and efficient routes to connect with the Middle East, Eurowings is aptly positioned to capitalize on these opportunities, contributing to the broader narrative of enhanced global mobility.
